Toubies is owned by a British family who first visited this region in 2001 and who fell in love with the area, its wild untouched feel, its stunning scenery, way of life, friendly people and of course, the weather.
Debbie and Garry live at Toubies. They moved from the UK to this area of France about 15 years ago and were the first of the family to discover this magical place - tucked away on a sunny hillside on the edge of Pyrénées Ariégeoises Natural Regional Park. ( The border runs through their land) They have been working on renovation projects at Toubies for the past few years while at the same time looking after holiday guests staying in the Farmhouse and at Meadowtops cottage.
They will be on-site to welcome you and settle you in when you first arrive for your holiday, and although they live on site they remain very much in the background and leave guests to enjoy themselves - but are available in case you need help or have a problem.
They are now very excited about their new glamping venture starting on 1st July 2017, which are their two Safari Tents situated on their 4 acre meadow with the most stunning views of the pyrenean mountains.
Karen has owned the Farmhouse and its neighbouring Tower Gite since 2013. Karen lives and works on the Wirral and like Garreth and Claire, she tries to visit as much as she can- usually with her daughter to enjoy what is, at heart, a family home. Whilst the Farmhouse is holiday property, Karen is passionate about adding to its natural personality; be it with furnishings and pictures, or the inclusion of a couple of large beanbags down by the pool for a post swim lounge about! The entire family loves this area - and Karen particularly enjoys the vibrant local markets at St Girons and Montberaud and the very inviting Spas within easy travelling distance which add to relaxing environment Toubies gives you.
