"We stayed a week in Meadowtops Cottage in early July and were struck by how peaceful the location was. The living area is spacious and bedrooms a good size as well as being fairly easy to keep cool. We enjoyed excellent weather which made the stay even better and found the large veranda very useful, especially in the late afternoon/evening as the sun remains strong so the shade was very welcome."

"We stayed in Meadowtops Cottage for two weeks in August 2016 and found this to be the best gite we have ever stayed in. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely and the views over the Pyrenees are stunning. The swimming pool was a bonus and much appreciated on a hot day.  We were sad to leave at the end of the fortnight but we will be back!"

This rural French gite, with stunning views is a converted barn, designed and renovated to provide maximum comfort and practical living while at the same time making the most of this magical location. Guests also have access to a beautiful heated pool (shared with another property) in an enclosed garden with more stunning views of the mountains

When you arrive at Toubies, follow the sign down the narrow lane to the cottage where there is ample parking directly outside the gite. You will be met by Garry and Debbie who will show you around the gite and pool and help you to settle in; they will then leave you to enjoy Meadowtops and the traditional Midi Pyrenees relaxed way of life.

Outside there is a secure good sized garden where you know your children and /or dogs will be able to play happily and safely. There is a large tiled veranda with table and chairs for up to 6 people.  A great place to sit, eat and chat about your day’s adventures.  If you're awake early enough you may catch sight of the deer in the meadow as you relax with a morning coffee.  Take time in the evening to sit and relax with a bottle of wine and take in the views or the endless starry night sky.

The pretty veranda leads through French doors into a good sized open-plan living area.  There is a large cottage style dining table and chairs ideal for family meals. There is a blue tooth radio for listening to your favourite music while eating or cooking in the open plan well equipped kitchen, with its large range cooker ideal for your Cassoulet and Dauphinoise potatoes – “yum!”

The dining area and kitchen lead into the sitting area with two sofas around a large antique coffee table all next to the wood burning stove, great for cosy nights with friends and family. There is a flat screen television with UK digital channels and free Wifi should you want to connect to the outside world.

To the side there is a large utility room with shelves to store your local wine, bubbly and beer finds, a good washing machine, and a door that leads into the large shower room / downstairs toilet.

Head up the stairs and you will find three large cosy double bedrooms, two with big double beds and one with two single beds all with a cottage feel to them. Large windows look out onto the meadow, the valleys, woodlands and mountains.  Art work on the walls is inspired by the view and meadow scenes. The beds all have soft crisp cotton bedding to snuggle up into at night with extra blankets in the wardrobes if needed. There is an upstairs bathroom if you fancy relaxing in a warm bath after a busy day exploring.

Head out of the house through the French doors and into the garden.  Go through the garden gate, pausing to take in the panoramic views, before following the short path up the hill and behind the cottage to a gate leading into the magical pool garden.  The pool garden is tucked into a sheltered spot on the hillside and enclosed on three sides by trees, shrubs and lavender, with a large single depth pool (shared with another property) Make sure to (if your children let you) take a minute to take in the view - it is guaranteed to take your breath away! Please note pool closes at 6.00 pm.
